What about maintenance free dry battery? Which brand is best for maintenance free dry battery? What are the duration of life of maintenance free dry battery?

Also specify the cost of each brand of maintenance free dry battery for my civic 99 vti oriel automatic?

A killer for lead acid batteries, wet, sealed or glass mat is to leave them unused or used only for short journeys in a half discharged state. This leads to sulfation. A trickle charger to keep batteries on full but not over charge can extend battery life. I have recently bought a 1.5 A batteryMinder for this purpose. Too recent a purchase for a meaningful assessment.
Do not overfill or let electrolyte dry out. In hot months check/top up distilled water weekly. Never add acid.
Personally I have found both AGS and Osaka batteries last on average 2 to 3 years.

My last Two ags Batteries with mehran last 2 years and 11 months and then next one 2 years 10 months... And i dont think so i have given lots of attention to battery maintenance..even then i gt that long life of my batteries

My personal experience with AGS Battery is good. I used it in my Civic 88 and it lasted for more than three years. Pertinent to mention that my car is used only twice or thrice in a month and I maintain the battery with zero TDS water when top up is required.

If you had that battery prepped with distilled water and lab grade acid (contact process product) the battery would have lasted much much longer.

You only topped with distilled water, while your battery seller prepped it with tap water and impure acid.

i had a battery claim like 5 years ago of excide my friend owns that shop he gaved me a battry for week use till my claim battery came some battery called tokyo i kept on using that battery for 5 years straight on till now it didnt gave up nor its cap has carbon on it the only thing which i did to set my ups ampers around 15

when I had my workshop in Karachi, I prepped batteries myself. Every single one worked strong as an ox and would crank the engine like it was a childs toy. It didnt lose charge overnight either. Customers had the same batteries for 4 to 5 or more years in Karachi - in all sorts of cars.

I charged more than a regular shop as the acid I bought had to be purchased personally - while distilled water was supplied to me for very little surcharge over its actual price.

The results were spectacular. I usually maintained the SG between 1.26 to 1.28 - checked with scales not a hydrometer.

You also need to protect the batteries from heat - so make sure you have some insulation or heatshield to protect from the brunt of heat. Also make sure your battery terminals are of excellent quality, not those screw press sheet metal trash you see in almost every other car in Pakistan.
