Even in CVT on cold mornings I turn off the econ aka sheikh mode and then the car drives normal. When it opens up and start rolling freely then I turn on econ again.

Other gears are fine. The problem occurs only for second gear.

Everyone told me to wait for the blue light to turn off, so I always waited for. I took around a couple of minutes to turn off or more, depending on the outside temperature. It was pretty cold in twin cities lately so it took approx five to six minutes to get heated. But after seeing your reply I'm a little relaxed. I had been driving automatic before getting my hands on this so, wasn't really sure whether it's fine or not.

Here's what eco-mode do in Honda City. It changes the throttle position sensor setting. Let's say you press 10% accelerator pedal with your foot and throttle body opens around 16% in normal mode. In eco-mode, the throttle body will open 14% for the same accelerator pedal position.

So in eco mode, less air will come in the engine and hence less fuel is sprayed by the injectors. You could obviously feel slight decrease in engine performance.

Honda CVTs works like sports mode when the CVTF temp (CVT Fluid temperature) is 20C or less. No matter, you are in eco mode or not and your shift level is in D or S. It will keep reving high like you are driving in sports mode until the CVTF temp cross 20C. I read in Honda Fit service manual that this happens because the torque converter clutch don't engage when the CVTF temp is below 20C to quickly increase the fluid temperature.

its very effective in gm6 city. when you turn it off the car feels so light and free as if you have opened new fuel jets to power the car. when econ mode is on I feel it bit sluggish.

no you can still give sudden acceleration.
Why I turn it off on cold mornings because with econ mode you need to give more throttle to attain certain speed. I keep a watch on the rpm meter and for same speed in econ mode I cross 3000 rpm and when it is turn off the car glides under 2000 rpm for same speed.

when the car is warmed up then this difference is not there.

Can we install cruise control in 1.2 L variants? I can't see any cruise control lights in meter so I'm not sure if there is any way to install cruise control. Did anyone work or tried to install it?

Is this only me or the battery of honda city gm6 is very tiny. only 30AH. with lights on I feel like the car engine on idle is not that smooth. I have the aspire model. The stock battery is working good but I think it needs to be replaced. At least 45 to 50 AH battery should be there. Please guide. I have shortlisted Daewoo DL 60 and AGS maintenance free. Please share if anyone has changed the battery.

Changing battery don't have any effect on lights, so you will be wasting money.
12V battery is used only to start the vehicle. As soon as it starts, all the load goes on the alternator.
The alternator charges the battery and powers up the full electrical system when the engine is running.
If a particular part of the car is drawing more current, the alternator has to turn that much faster to power that part. Since the alternator is connected to the engine using the alternator belt, the ECU senses this and increases the rpm.

Also thankful for your tip to buy remote battery from daraz official store as in stores they are selling only one battery for 150 to 200.
