Back in February 2025, Pakistan Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC) increased the prices of the Suzuki Alto by up to Rs. 120,000. Explaining the sudden jump, the Suzuki official told PakWheels, “The company is all set to add new features like ABS brakes and power windows in Alto VXR, whilst other add-ons include seatbelts, ISOFix child seat anchors, seatbelt alarms, etc.” And now the new Alto with the upgrades has been spotted. To confirm these upgrades, we contacted a couple of Suzuki dealerships, and they shared a list of new features in the Suzuki Alto:

- Location of the back door emblem – Available in all variants.
- Fasten seatbelt indicator – Available in all variants.
- Right front seatbelt pretensioner – Available in all variants.
- Front seatbelt reminder – Available in all variants.
- ISO-FIX lower anchor – Available in all variants.
- Back door garnish – Available in all variants.
- Power window switch illumination – Available in VXR MT and VXR AGS.
- Power window (Front/Rear) – Available in VXR MT and VXR AGS too.
- Power window mechanism (Safety pinch guard for driver) –Now available in VXR MT and VXR AGS too.
- Power window auto mechanism (Up & Down for driver) – Now available in VXR MT and VXR AGS too.
- ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) – Now available in VXR MT too.
- Side turn lamp – Available in AGS only.
Most of the upgrades mentioned above are safety features, and considering the importance of these specs in a car in the current market, it is a step in the right direction. Alto has remained in the news last month due to its build quality, especially after a video of a crushed vehicle circulated on social media. This led to rumors that motorway police had banned the car on all motorways, while some reports suggested that Suzuki is discontinuing its best-selling vehicle.
