Tucson Hybrid Officially Launched – Complete Specs & Features

A week back Hyundai Nishat revealed 4th generation Tucson Hybrid in Pakistan with limited details barely explaining what this SUV boasts in terms of style and design inside and outside, power offered under the hood and safety features. However, this time, the local car maker has officially launched the Tucson Hybrid in the local market as a strong rival for 5th-gen hybrid Kia Sportage Hybrid and Haval PHEV. And this time the company has also revealed the detailed features of the SUV.

Dimension

The vehicle measures 4640 mm in length, 1865 mm in width, and 1665 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2755 mm, providing a stable and spacious ride. The ground clearance stands at 181 mm, suitable for various road conditions.

Power & Performance

The vehicle is powered by a Smartstream G1.6 T-GDi HEV engine, featuring an in-line 4-cylinder configuration with a displacement of 1598 cc. It produces a maximum power output of 178 HP at 5500 rpm and delivers a peak torque of 265 Nm between 1500–4500 rpm.

Paired with this is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that generates 47.7 kW of power and 264 Nm of torque. Together, the engine and electric motor produce a combined output of 173 kW (232 HP) and a maximum torque of 367 Nm, ensuring strong and efficient performance.

The vehicle is equipped with a lithium-ion battery system operating at 270 volts, with a capacity of 1.49 kWh and a battery power output of 64 kW. Duties are handled by a 6-speed automatic transmission, and depending on the variant, the drive type is either AWD or FWD.

The vehicle also offers various terrain modes such as Snow, Mud, and Sand only in AWD variant. Whilst multiple drive modes including Eco, Sport, Smart, and Baby come in both variants enhancing adaptability and driving comfort.
