Swift GL M/T ⚡ Swift GL CVT ⚡ Swift GLX CVT
You must have heard Suzuki has launched the new Swift in three variants. The base variant is Swift GL Manual. The mid variant is Swift GL CVT. And the top-of-the-line variant is Swift GLX CVT.
All three variants are now available for bookings. Let’s go through the specs and features of these variants and help you pick the best one.
Dimensions
All three Suzuki Swift variants are 3845 mm long, 1735 mm wide, and 1520 mm tall with 37 litres of fuel capacity. All have 160 mm of ground clearance.
Swift GL Manual weighs 855 kg, Swift GL CVT 885 kg, and Swift GLX CVT 895 kg.
Engine & Transmission
All three variants have the same 1197cc K12M DOHC VVT engine that produces 81 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. This engine is mated with 5-speed manual transmission in the base variant and CVT in the other two variants. The CVT variants also have a Sports Mode.
Exterior
Coming to the exterior, the GL Manual and GL CVT variants have halogen multi-reflector headlights with LED DRLs mounted on the front bumper.
All three variants have LED rear combination tailights, rear wiper, 16-inch alloy wheels, and electrically adjustable side view mirrors.
The top-of-the-line Swift GLX CVT variant has extra frills such as automatic LED projection headlights with integrated DRLs, halogen bulb fog lamps, and retractable function in the side view mirrors.
Interior
Remote control keyless entry is standard in all three variants, but the GLS CVT variant has smart entry. All variants come with fabric seats for five passengers. The driver’s seat height is adjustable in all variants.
The power steering wheel has tilt adjustment in all variants and telescopic adjustment with media control buttons in the top-of-the-line variant. We have push start, Information Display, and automatic air conditioning in the top variant.
The air conditioning is manual in the GL Manual and GL CVT variants. A 9-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard in all variants, which is quite surprising.
Safety
The common safety features in all three Swift variants are ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Emergency Brake Distribution), and ESP (Electronic Stability Program), and immobilizer.
There are two airbags in the GL Manual and GL CVT variants, and six airbags in GLX CVT variant. There’s cruise control and HAC (Hill Assist Control) in the GL CVT and GLX CVT variants. The top-of-the-line GLX CVT variant also has reverse camera and rear parking sensors.

Swift GL Manual will cost you Rs. 2,499,000, Swift GL CVT will be yours for Rs. 2,699,000, and you can buy the fully-loaded Swift GLX CVT for Rs. 2,899,000.
