The renowned Japanese automaker Suzuki is set to launch its highly anticipated e-Burgman electric scooter in India. This unique scooter is already highly anticipated among avid riders as it is expected to be one of the first all-electric two-wheelers from a Japanese automaker in Asia.
Talking about its features, one of the most unique features of the e-Burgman is its swappable battery technology. For the best performance, Suzuki has partnered with Honda’s Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium. Therefore, the electric scooter will be powered by Honda’s Mobile Power Pack e-battery, making it a truly innovative and sustainable choice in the market.
Gachaco, a leading company among the Big Four (Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha), will also install charging stations for this model, making it even more convenient for users to charge their e-Burgman scooters on the go.
The e-Burgman is perfect for urban commutes and short trips, with a range of 44 kilometers on a single charge. The electric bike is approachable and comfortable for users of all sizes because it has a seat height of 30.7 inches and a curb weight of 324 pounds. The electric motor produces up to 5.4 horsepower (hp) and 18 Newton meters of torque, which is ample power for daily driving.
The e-Birgman dons striking white and blue details similar to the iconic Burgman style, giving it a sleek and modern look. Moreover, the India-bound version is reported to have a chain final drive.
