PAMA – Car Sales Decreased By 8% Last Month

This month, again, we are here with a fresh look at the financial performance of local car manufacturers, analyzing the sales data from last month. We’ll provide a comprehensive breakdown of the top-selling vehicles and key players in the industry, along with a deep dive into the latest statistics from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) report.

Car Sales

Following a decrease of 29% in February, car sales have again witnessed a drop of 8% in March. According to the report, the car makers sold 11,098 vehicles in last month compared to 12,084 units this February. Similarly, year-on-year sale has also grown by significant 18%. Local manufacturers managed to sell 9,381 cars in the corresponding time of last year.

Two & Three wheelers

Local motorcycle and three-wheelers sale slashed by 3% last month, with sales reaching 125,311 units. This is a 34% year-on-year increase compared to the 93,606 units sold in February 2024.

Atlas Honda, recorded a 15% month-on-month decrease of 2%, selling 106,203 units in last month compared to 108,169 units in Feb ‘25.

Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki witnessed a jump of 2%. The company sold 2,396 bikes in March 2025, up from 2,359 units in Feb ‘25.

Yamaha Pakistan sold 472 bikes last month compared to 472 units in February 2025. Similarly United Auto Motorcycle managed to sell 13,284 bikes last month.

Trucks & Buses

Sales of trucks and buses have been decreased by 5% last month selling 460 units compared to 486 in February 2024.

Company-Wise Sales Breakdown

  • Toyota Pakistan’s sales surged by 20%, selling 3,131 units last month compared to 2,611 vehicles in Feb ‘25.
  • Pak Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC) sales also reduced by 15%, selling 4,538 vehicles in this March against 5,330 cars in February 2025.
  • However, Honda Atlas, saw a considerable drop of 30%, selling 1,428 units last month compared to 2,054 units in Feb ’25.
  • Hyundai Nishat sales went down by 10%, selling 952 units last month compared to 1,052 units in Feb ‘25.
  • Moreover, Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) sales declined by 7% vehicles last month, selling 934 vehicles last month against 838 this February.

It is worth mentioning that sales numbers for Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton are not included in the report as they are not PAMA members.

Car-Wise Sales Breakdown

Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) sold 3,090 units of Alto, 97 units of Suzuki Cultus, 97 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 596 units of Suzuki Swift, 8 units of Suzuki Bolan, 297 units of Suzuki Ravi and 353 units of Every.

Toyota Indus sold 2,378 units of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross and 753 units of Fortuner and IMVs.

Honda Atlas sold 1,195 units of City and Civic, and 233 units of BR-V and HR-V.

Hyundai Nishat sold 212 units of Elantra, 104 units of Sonata, 144 units of Porter, 338 units of Tucson and 154 units of Santa Fe. Similarly, Sazgar Engineering sold 940 units of Haval series.
