Variants of Nissan 2024 R35 GT-R
The 2024 Nissan R35 GT-R is available in three variants – the GT-R Premium, GT-R T-Spec, and NISMO.
Both GT-R Premium and T-Spec are loaded with 565 horsepower, providing an attractive option for those in search of a super sports car. On the other hand, the NISMO is fitted with more exceptional performance, with engineering drawn directly from motorsports applications. The T-spec comes in the rare paint Millenium Jade which pays homage to the rare R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nur, as well as Midnight Purple, which has been borrowed from the R34 GT-R V-Spec.
Specs & Features
The Premium and NISMO variants come equipped with GT-R NISMO carbon-ceramic brakes, the NISMO’s RAYS® 20-inch forged wheels painted in gold, NISMO-tuned Vehicle Dynamic Control, and wider front fenders.
The NISMO model also has seen some upgrades! The NISMO increases horsepower to 600, increases peak torque to 481 lb-ft, and improves throttle response thanks to turbos used from the GT3 racing. A front limited-slip differential is installed for the first time to improve grip further, while massive 16.1-inch front and 15.3-inch rear brake rotors increase braking power while shedding over 30 pounds of weight.
In addition to all this, NISMO also comes with a NISMO appearance package! This package consists of a unique clear coat sprayed to the carbon fiber hood, an exclusive engine cover design, and a special pair of 20-inch RAYS forged wheels with red accents. Stealth Gray, a brand-new NISMO-only paint color, is also available for the GT-R NISMO.
Coming to the T-Spec model, it comes with a 3.8-liter, 24-valve, twin-turbo V-6 engine, which produces 467 lb-ft of torque and 565 horsepower. The engine continues to be hand-assembled and has a titanium exhaust system that makes it sing. The speed-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission system with paddle shifters and Nissan’s ATTESA ET-S all-wheel drive system, which adjusts the front-to-rear torque split, are incorporated. Switches in the center console give the driver total control over the Bilstein DampTronic shocks, driving modes, transmission behavior, and engine dynamics.
Performance of Nissan 2024 R35 GT-R
The completely adjustable independent double-wishbone front and independent multi-link rear suspensions are what give the GT-R its dynamic ride and handling. Three driver-selectable suspension settings for the GT-R are provided by DampTronic shock absorbers: Normal, Comfort, and R. With the use of these three settings, the driver may choose between varied degrees of comfort while driving and the GT-renowned R’s sporty responsive handling.
The term NISMO has been derived from NISsan MOtorsports International Co. the GT-R NISMO is a more extreme version of the GT-R2.
The front differential enhances the driving experience by ensuring that the GT-R faithfully follows all of the driver’s inputs and refelcts the NISMO team’s approach to incremental enhancements that continuously build upon GT-R’s capabilities.
The GT-R NISMO received extensive upgrades for the 2020 model year for better performance, including new turbochargers from the GT3 racecar, improved transmission shift control, lighter components, enhanced body bonding to increase torsional rigidity, reduced overall mass, and upgrades to the brakes, wheels, and tyres.
Interior of Nissan 2024 R35 GT-R
Nissan fans have been waiting for noticeable improvements in the model’s interior design. But, they might face a lot of disappointment given the interior hasn’t changed much. The interior of the GT-R welcomes occupants with a “horizontal-flow” dashboard design shrouded in Nappa leather appointments and lightweight seats.
The interior of the GT-R T-spec is enhanced by the use of exclusive dark Mori Green upholstery through and through while the front seats are covered in a combination semi-aniline and suede. The T-spec is further distinguished by distinctive logos on the console and kick plates. The GT-R T-spec adds several distinct visual elements to the exterior, including T-spec emblems on the trunk.
Apple CarPlay®, Nissan navigation system, Bluetooth®, HD Radio, SiriusXM® Radio, SiriusXM® Traffic, and SiriusXM® Travel LinkTM are all standard features of the NissanConnect® infotainment system with an 8-inch multi-touch display (weather, fuel prices, movie listings, stock info, and sports).
The display also includes GT-R-specific, customizable data pages that show key vehicle data such as coolant and oil temperature, transmission gear selection, g-forces, turbocharger boost, and even a lap timer2.
The premium convenience features on the GT-R include a Bose® 11-speaker audio system, Active Noise Cancellation, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and front and rear parking sensors.
