NASA Invited Young Pakistani Inventor for Anti-Sleep Glasses [Video]

A 13-year-old Pakistani girl has invented an excellent device for drivers to tackle the issue of road accidents. According to Bisma Salangi, a student of Evergreen Secondary School of Karachi, her project is “Anti-Sleep Glasses for Drivers,” which is made for drivers who sleep at night while driving on long routes.

‘These glasses will help the drivers stay awake and avoid the chances of an accident,” she told media, adding that the project was completed in four months with two failures during this time. “There is immense talent in Pakistani students, and if given a chance, we can do anything,” the inventor said.

Recognizing her accomplishment, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has invited the 13-year-old to participate in their camp. This opportunity will allow her to polish her skills further and invent more devices.

There are no details on how these anti-sleep glasses work, but it is indeed an exciting invention.

Fatigue and lack of sleep are one of the primary reasons for road accidents, not only in Pakistan but around the world. According to World Health Organization (WHO), fatigue-related accidents are a major global contributing factor to road traffic incidents.

The motorway police in Pakistan have also been asking drivers not to drive while tired. As per police, this is dangerous for the driver, the passengers, and other commuters on the road. An accident in this situation would destroy the car and cause life losses. So, if you are feeling sleepy or tired, don’t drive, or if you are traveling already, make a stop, get refreshed, have some coffee or tea, and take a power nap if possible. It would help you regain your composure and decrease fatigue.
