The Capital Development Authority (CDA) plans to launch two electric-feeder buses for Islamabad that will help the public to commute to Blue and Green Line metro terminals.

The Green Line service will provide a commute from Bhara Kahu (Jillani Stop) to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims). The CDA claims that the construction of bus terminals has already commenced and will be completed in August. The electric bus service is planned to be started soon to solve traffic issues.

According to CDA officials, two lanes on Murree road in the Bhara Kahu area have already become congested. That’s why the service will be started from the Jillani stop. The pickup stop for passengers of the Blue Line will be PWD, and for those of the Green Line will be Bhara Kahu (Attal Chowk).

The final plan is to launch this bus service as a nonstop express service from Bhara Kahu to Pims and from Koral to Pims. Proper separate corridors will be built for these uses later but for now, they will be launched in mixed traffic on existing roads.
