Is Honda’s Electric Scooter BENLY e Coming Soon?
With the surge in a global energy crisis, automobile companies around the globe seem inclined towards green technology. Electric cars and two-wheelers are gaining ground in the global car industry, making the conventional ICE (internal combustion engine) somewhat outdated.
And when Pakistan attempts to steer through one of its worst economic crises with staggering fuel prices, Local car and bike makers are striving hard to make e-vehicles a norm.
Last November, we informed you of Honda’s electric two-wheeler BENLY e. The company simply unveiled the e-scooter during a ceremony in Sheikhupura with no details narrating the launch date and pricing.
In a recent update, Honda has taken a bold step by introducing the BENLY e to Lahore. Lahore customers recently had the chance to ride the BENLY e and experienced a smooth and enjoyable journey.
Is it Coming Soon?
There are no updates regarding its launch in Pakistan, as the company has not given any timeframe. We have to wait for now and will update the readers as soon as we get any updates.
As we mentioned earlier, the launch of an e-scooter by Honda in Pakistan would be a significant development for the bike segment as consumers do trust the Big 3 compared to recently arrived companies in the country.
Furthermore, it shows that the major companies are quite serious about moving forward with electric scooters and bikes in Pakistan.
International Specs & Feature
The salient specs and features of Honda BENLY e include an 87-kilometer range, 180-minute charge time, and up to 45 kilometers/hour top speed. These are some of the global specs, as Atlas Honda has not revealed any specs and features for Pakistan.
“The company just revealed the bike in the event,” a Honda bike dealer told PakWheels. Another dealer told us that this was just a sample by the company hinting at the type of e-scooter they will launch in the local market, but it may take some time.
