Convert Old Land Cruiser LC200 into the New LC300
Toyota recently broke many hearts by announcing up to four years delivery time for the new Land Cruiser. But you know what they say—with every crisis comes opportunity. China’s GBT company has come to the rescue with restyling body kits that turn the old LC200 model into an LC300 lookalike.
GBT Body Kits
The idea is pretty simple: you replace the front and rear bumper, front grille, and headlights, and you’ll have a Land Cruiser LC200 that looks a lot like the LC300. The body kits do a great job, not perfect. Anyone who has seen the all new 2022 Land Cruiser series can tell, but you can show it off to everyone else, especially yourself.
Here’s how the GBT body kits give the old LC200 model the look of a fresh LC300.
The new elongated grille upfront looks surprisingly accurate. The headlights are slightly bigger than the original LC300’s, but the 300-style LED DRLs do a pretty good mimicry. The upgrades at the back are more impressive, featuring a new tailgate, taillights, and rear bar.
From the before and after shots, you can tell just how many details have been covered in these body kits. The final result is not a 100% LC300, but the next best thing to an LC300, for sure.
Conversion Price
GBT has not yet added a price tag on these body kits, but it does say that the installation is entirely non-destructive. The GBT LC300 body kits can be ordered from Alibaba and will soon be available at vehicle modification centers across Pakistan. That means the kits will be here a whole lot sooner than the legit Land Cruiser 300 Series.
What do you think about this body kit conversion of an LC200 into an LC300? How would you rate the after-conversion model out of 10? Would you try it with your Land Cruiser or recommend it to somebody else?
