I’m not sure, the word ‘hot hatch’ justifies the credentials of the Gazoo Racer Toyota Yaris. It is a pocket rocket with impressive power figures and craftsmanship similar to that of a German vehicle. Sameer the owner of the Toyota Yaris GR owned a batmobile too. In fact he built it himself and trust me it was as tremendous as the original piece.

- Toyota Yaris GR was the world’s fastest 1.6 L engine ever produced till 2023. Later this title was taken by Koenigsegg.
- This 3-cylinder engine produces 261 HP and goes up to 300 HP with a little tuning. Its 0-100 km/h takes less than 5.5 seconds.
- Yaris is the second model under the Toyota Gazoo racing theme. The first one is the well-known Supra.
- GR Yaris has impeccable handling and control which makes it a perfect choice for a sporty as well as fun car.

Specs and Features
While the Yaris comes in four trim levels: RC, RZ, RZ 1st performance, and Track performance, this one is RZ high performance, best suited for rallies and city rides. It has two traction levels with Normal and traction off. Featuring good ground clearance, wider body, curvy fenders, JBL sound system, and a heated steering. There are loaded safety features as compared to the regular sedan offering lane assist, lane keep, USB connectivity, and much more.
Performance
Besides the fastness what makes the GR Yaris super-efficient is its braking system. The spotted disc configuration encourages confident driving.
Leaving all the fuss behind, it is a super hatch with a 6-speed forward transmission. With a fuel economy of 8 to 10 km/L within the city and 5 km/L on the sporty mode it is a speedy hatch enough to turn heads.

When all its features are rare, it has got an exclusive pricing structure too. This 2021 Toyota Yaris GR cost around 3 crores when imported. Also, make sure you don’t go for an upgrade. Its single exhaust pipe costs around 17 lacs.
