I don't think a car being repainted correctly should be a cause for alarm. I bought a car once, it was mint af, it wasn't supposed to be this clean for a being a 2009 Corolla, as in Sindh, a lot of them have been driven as taxis from KHI-HYD and stuff like that, especially during covid, but anyways, this was the seller's deceased father's car.
It was all original, beautiful grey color, no paint fade, not resprayed from anywhere, all trims absolutely new, the car wasn't even glass coated. But it looked right out of the showroom floor with mileage to match. Seller was a private party, a colleague of a very close friend (also a PW'er) so I had trust in the car being 100% legit. I paid asking price, paid first and picked the car later. During my ownership, the car gave me so many mechanical problems and so many surprises, that it was on par with a 91 Mehran that I once owned. Everything that could go wrong with the powertrain, did go wrong. Came with a kabli fuel pump with bad fuel pressure, a kabli previous gen ac compressor because of which the ac never worked right and Toyota Society motors wanted to replace the entire system, a repaired steering rack which gave you 0 confidence at anything above 80kmph, was driven on cng at some point in it's life, had it's valves changed with local Lahore made items (which gave up on me in a year with sever missing), "mota" head gasket installed, etc. Once I was done spending around 2 lakh on it, it still burned a liter of oil every 2500 kms. Needless to say, I got rid of it by selling to a car company. I later saw it in Gulshan KHI, met the new owner and he was still shelving money into it.
Contrary to that, another car that I bought had a couple of doors resprayed, some unclear history, and probably was flipped from dealer to dealer a couple of times, has fading clearcoat on the trunk, and other paint problems, but the moment you drive it, you know this is a good car.
