Just popped into this thread for a couple of questions and concerns to share.
Oil Recommendations
We bought our brand-new zero meter alto in July of last year. We've racked up around 8.900 kms on the clock. got the first oil change at Suzuki and used the Suzuki oil (0w20). The second oil change is looming closer and closer and I do not know what brand to opt for. I want to keep this car running as new and sounding as such too. What api ratings and brands are best? For my second vehicle (16 years old now) cultus '06 I have used halvoline and now using ZIC 10w40. These brands have been fine and have a decent reputation.
AC
We bought a vx variant because that was the best value for money at the time and also unknowingly paid "on" (long story) so it came without an ac. We got that installed later (after 5k kms) and car ran fine, but we noticed the fuel average drop from 17-18 city driving to 14 with ac on always and daily (with the exception of weekends) 8km runs and monthly trips to Bahria town. On the highway, the trip average comes around 18-20 but that's about it. (could it be that for longer trips the car seats four people, two adults and two teens?)
Suspension (STIFF)
Speaking of 4 people in the car, I often notice our alto riding too low, when there is someone in the backseat. Almost as if it's one of those cultuses with sagging rear shocks that also happens to be seating 5 people in the back simultaneously. Speaking of cultus (OLD), we have one, It rides much better and softer over minor potholes and speed-breakers. Whereas in the alto, if there is even a slight disbalance in the road, and you're in the backseat, your lower back is absolutely done for. There is a world of a difference moving from the front seats to the back, I dont know if it's just the seats or the suspension components differing between the front and back. Is it just my car or do y'all have this too?
Sound
BOY is this car loud, especially if you have more than 2 people in it. (We max out at 4 for this fragile baby). It seems almost as if the engine is right in the cabin with us, and all the noise from the outside, wether that be a passing bike or someone talking is heard crystal clear with the windows rolled up and ac running. Has anyone else felt this? We love the pep and pick up (maybe we feel it more because we went from a 1980's tech carb engine (cultus) to electronically fuel injected brand new engine and tech) but accelerating or even cruising at 80km/h to 100km/h is very noticeable within the cabin, do you guys feel the same way?
