The issue is that Pakistani awaam, who don't own this car, have decided that it consumes more fuel than other cars, although I get similar fuel mileage numbers from Sportage/Tucson owners. Second issue is people complain about it requiring Hi-Octane, but unless you're gonna be driving this car a lot everyday, then Hi-Octane price difference won't matter much at the end of the month.
Build quality wise I'm totally satisfied with this car. The only thing is that head-unit/lcd screen is a bit slow response wise. Other than that, anyone who has sat in our MG HS has commented on the good quality & feel of the cabin. It's great to drive on motorway, in stop-and-go/rush hour traffic, the DCT transmission might feel a little jerky but then again every DCT car would.
Maintenance wise, I've noticed that MG dealerships try to get you to replace items that don't even need replacing (are not due for service), so you have to haggle with them that you'll only follow maintenance plan as mentioned in the booklet.
