If your car is in the break in period, ignore my previous advice. For the first 5000 km or so, the important thing is to run the car through the gears, varying load and rpm as much as you can. If its not properly broken in, the engine will start to burn oil as the car ages. In other words, just drive the car normally. Don't go on the motorway; GT Road with heavy traffic is fine though.
In any case, avoid extended idling periods; idling is neither good for fuel economy, or breaking in a new engine. After 5000 kms are complete, then you should worry about fuel economy.
