Bought a new Tucson FWD and have driven it 2000kms in the last 15 days. I have upgraded from a Civic Rebirth and got the car from Hyundai Central Lahore. The purchase process was super smooth. Even though this was my first time buying a new car and had heard a lot of bad experiences with dealerships, mine was surprisingly pretty good. Here's my honest feedback regarding the car.
Pros:
1. Exceptional build quality. The entire car appears to be put together really well.
2. The lighting is excellent. Never felt the need to use high beams.
3. The cornering lights are my favourite feature so far. Very useful in terms of turning into dark streets and corners.
4. Overall look. Even though this is subjective, I really like the styling of Tucson over any other crossover in the market.
5. Rear reclining seats and legroom.
6. Driver seat adjustments and lumbar support.
7. Air Conditioning. Even though I will fully get to test this in the summers, so far the AC and heating has been phenomenal.
8. Light in the glove box
9. Suspension is excellent and handles bumps brilliantly. Minor items such as cat eyes and potholes are barely felt.
10. Rear camera visibility and dynamic guidelines.
Cons:
1. Their is a known issue of annoying tick tick sounds from the sunroof when going over bumpy roads.
2. Lack of front camera or sensors at the front.
3. I have the new facelift rims and they poke out of the body slightly which results in mud and water splashes on the sides.
4. The wireless charging is more of a gimmick. Charges very slow and makes the phone hot.
5. ADS. The system automatically switches to fresh air. Even though I have turned it off, it will still switch to fresh air every time I push the defogger button.
6. The infotainment is below par. A classic example of Quantity over Quality.
Overall, I am super satisfied with the car. Note that I had gotten my tires upgraded on the very first day to Continental Premium Contact 6. Also, this might be a minor niggle but if I had the option, I would change the interior backlight of the buttons from blue to white.
