I am thinking of shifting to honda city idsi (2004-07)as i heared from it users that it gave 13 to 14 /km in city driving.I love my car as it is best among small cars but fuel economy is putting a big dent on pocket.so please can you guide what should i do?(using guard oil and air filter and kikx oil)
Fan is auto.tappet and butterfly have been serviced.recently installed ngk spark plug.only unaware of pcv valve and never cleaned it can you tell me where it is located.plus can you tell me which oil and filter should i use(currently using kikx oil.and guard oil and air filter)
Pcv valve is located behind head cover.remove pipe which connects throttle body and tappet cover.Take it to mechanic asked him to clean it.
Ok brother i will ask mechanic to clean it.and kindly tell me which air filter and engine oil,and oil filter i should use to increase mileage.what are you using?
And very thanks for helping.
Everyone has own perception about engine oil.I m using liqui moly 20w 50 which cost now 4500 for 4ltr,which is huge expensive but my car runs only 4k/year.so it doesnot effect my pocket.
Use hyundai geniune filters otherwise any korean made.
Ok.by the way what mileage you are getting with ac in city
I m getting 10-11 km/l with ac now.but before maintaning i was getting 12 13 with ac in city.
Ok.
Is thre any way to get santro's defogger come back alive again? I think one of the previous owners installed black tint paper on the back so its not working. Winters are approaching so will surely need it to work. Anyone with some knowledge about this would be highly gratefull
I'm looking for an answer for that too. Mine are also not working. Never installed any paper btw.
Installing a tint again would be usefull or not? M thinking to install 0% tint on it just for the sake of try. In winters its a pain and one cant even drive properly
As Salam O AlequmGuys please guide me any good Santro Specialist in Karachi.
He should be speciailist as I have tried several mechanics and electricians but all failed.
The problem is that my santro is consuming toooo much fuel. 200km on full tank
200km on cng or petrol?Change the oil. Plugs. Air filter. Change the plug wires.Adjust the tappets. Get the throttle body serviced. Check the firing order and I guess this should be it.I had the same issue. My car used to give around 6KM/L.The issue was with the firing order, the plug wires and the throttle body was way to messy. And all these improved my milegae alot.Change the oil every 2500-3000km or so. Stick to one oil brand if it suits your car. Use petrol from the best fuel station.
The belt may be turned under the lpiller that's why belt is not going back itself
As Salam O AlequmBrother thanks for your valuable suggestions.Car is driven with new oil andoil filter for 300kmAir filter was replaced 500km earlier. Tappets are all finely adjusted, complete tuning of car is done. Ecu scanning is also done. No issues found..200km on full tank of petrol. 65km on full cng
200km on full tank is alot of fuel consumption. What is the tyre size on your car?
Yes.. Tyre size is 165/65/13
Radiator fan was direct. Got its ECT sensor replaced. Now the fan is on auto mode. Lets see if there is any difference.
Yes. That would make a slight difference too. Do keep me updated about the progress.
