@qwertypoiu it's a cvt. I have the Japanese - lang owner's manual and at least the pictures are helpful enough to see that it is the cvt version. Plus, i believe the 4spd auto only comes with AWD version. I will get the fluid replaced.
The tacho needle constantly jumps while it lowers to just below 1k rpm when i start it and it's in Park. Engine noise is very rough at this time. Once the engine reaches working temp this is solved but while driving, when i give it the slightest of throttle (1-1.5k rpm) the car jerks repeatedly. Problem doesnt occur when i give more throttle.
I think i should get a complete tune-up, service at some respectable workshop now. @enzooferrari, any suggestions? I live in khi. Actually my father has been going to this same workshop since the past 25 years and he has been able to take gpod care of our 2004 suzuki every since like 6 years so we thought he'd know how to handle this too.
