Great Wall Motors has been surfacing high with its compact, mid-size, and D-segment SUVs. Recently, it has been revealed that an off-road SUV Haval Raptor Hi4 was officially announced in August 2023. The Hi4 stands tall for combining robust performance and redefining comfort paired with luxury. Let’s check out what we get under the hood and other features.
Haval Raptor Hi4 Engine Specifications
Haval Raptor Hi4 comes with a 1.5L plug-in-hybrid system boasting two powertrains, i.e., front axle motor with 70kW and rear axle motor with 150kW that combined produce maximum engine power of 120kW. Another engine option available is a 1.5T hybrid engine that combines an 80kW front axle motor and 150kW rear axle motor paired with a 2-speed DH Transmission. However, the claimed cruising range is 105km.
Exterior
The Hi4 comes in a retro-styled look with round headlights and square-shaped taillights for a pronounced classic look. Other notable features include roof racks, convertible door handles, and an aggressive front grille, which presents the badging of ‘HAVAL’ in an impactful manner. This new SUV screams for boldness and rigidity, and the presence of a rear spare wheel makes it more evident.
Although its official dimensions have not yet been revealed, taking reference from the current model available, The800, 1916/1822, and a wheelbase of 2738mm, the Hi4 features a high ground clearance, making it a suitable option for off-roading and challenging routes. It is wider, calls for a tall appearance, and has plenty of cabin space.
The Hi4 offers two multi-spoke rim options in black tone to enhance the sportiness of this off-roader further.
Interior
The Hi4 will have a two-tone interior with a dominant ivory scheme. Other driving assistance features, such as comfort and luxury, have not yet been revealed.
This model awaits its official launch at the Beijing Auto Show later this month, with Haval’s general manager Zhao Yongpo announcing that this new Raptor is designed and optimized based on users’ suggestions.
